Meghalaya sets 1-year deadline to upgrade health infrastructure

GUWAHATI: Meghalaya government has set a target of one year to improve health infrastructure in the state.

The government as drawn up a blueprint to upgrade health sub-centres, public health centres (PHCs) and community health centres (CHCs) with a year and tendering process will be completed within thus month.

Chief Minister Conrad Sangma who reviewed the entire process today, has informed that a committee is being formed  for strengthening the health infrastructure in the state.

“Reviewed the plan to upgrade Sub-centres, PHCs & CHCs. A committee will be formed for strengthening our health infra. Tendering will be done by Sept. 2020. A target of 1 yr has been kept for completion. Dept. has been directed to start the process at the earliest @drharshvardhan,” tweeted Conrad Sangma.
