Protest
The Confederation of Central Government Employees & Workers will observe a lunch-hour protest on Wednesday, demanding withdrawal of the CENTRE’s order to prematurely retire employees who have completed 30 years of service or attained the age of 50-55 years.
Unclaimed body
An unclaimed body of 49-year-old, Joy Kurkalang, has been lying at the Civil Hospital morgue since September 4, an official statement issued here on Monday informed. The concerned relatives are requested to collect the body from the hospital morgue within a period of 3 days, failing which it will be send for disposal by the Shillong Municipal Board.
Missing
Robi Gaur, son of Manika Gaur, resident of Dhorom Ichamati, was last seen at Wahjapung jungle, Wahlang, Shella, on August 23 at 7 am. The missing person is 5.8-inch tall with swarthy complexion and black hair. He was last seen wearing black-green trouser with blue shirt and black slipper. Outpost reopens
GK Iangrai, MPS, Assistant Inspector General of Police has informed that Malngkhona Police Outpost, which was temporarily shut subsequent to the detection of COVID-19 positive case, has been declared fit for re-occupation and has resumed functioning.
