Shillong: The FKJGP Mairang Circle on Friday, shut down the mobile tower as well as the office of the Aircel Company, the AL Tele Service located at Lyngdoh Masi at Mairang.
The action was taken following the company’s failure to provide better services to the people despite a three-month deadline issued by the federation to the company.
Recently, the federation had closed a branch of the Reliance Company based in Mairang for its pathetic networks and the same was done to the Aircel Company.
“We have complained regarding the matter on several occasions and had even gave a written complaints to the head of the Aircel company, Dwipendra Sutar (Technical Manager), but their adamant attitude had left us with no choice but to close down the tower”, FKJGP Mairang circle president Bobby Basaiawmoit said here on Friday.
