SHILLONG: In a minor reshuffling of bureaucrats, the government on Wednesday made the following transfers and postings:
Dr SP Ahammed, principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department has been relieved of his functions and GHP Raju, Principal Secretary of Cooperation department would now function as the principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary department
M Synrem, Commissioner and Secretary of the Commerce & Industries, Printing & Stationary has been relieved of Printing & Stationary, while Aldous Mawlong, Commissioner and Secretary, too, has been relieved of his functions as Commissioner and Secretary of the Forest and Environment department.
SN Marak has also been relieved as the Secretary of the Printing & Stationary department, which has been allotted to M War Nongbri, Secretary to the Information &Public Relations department. In addition, subject to the clearance by the Election Commission of India, B Mawlong, Joint Secretary to the Commerce & Industries would also function as Additional Chief Electoral Officer, while similarly, subject to the clearance by the Election Commission of India, KL Nongbri, Joint Chief Electoral Officer has been relieved of his functions.
