SHILLONG: The Greater Shillong Crematorium and Mortuary Society has informed that the Shillong electric crematorium will remain closed till October 3 so as to carry out repairing of its furnaces, a statement said. The decision follows a meeting of the Technical Committee of Shillong electric crematorium which was held at the Conference Room, Rythong Building, Shillong, on Wednesday.
The repair work will be undertaken by the Committee, the statement added.
