Runners cover 73 km in tribute to front-line workers

SHILLONG: In an attempt to display respect and gratitude to the frontline workers who are engaged in the battle against COVID-19, a group of five runners covered a distance of 73 km from Tura DC’s office to Williamnagar DC’s office. The run was organised on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The runners including Chimpu Sangma from Tura, Steve Rynjah, Commandant 2nd Battalion, Daniel M Sangma, Silrak W Sangma and Silnang Sangma, completed the run in 11 hours. During the activity, the runners also spread awareness on COVID-19 in the area.
