Capt Sangma’s kin joins electoral politics

 SHILLONG: Captain Williamson A. Sangma’s grand nephew Rakkam A. Sangma has decided contest the state Assembly election due in February-March next year.

Announcing this here on Monday, Sangma , a post-graduate in nuclear physics, said if elected he would strive to bring development to South Garo Hills district.

According to Sangma, he will contest from Rongara -Siju as an Independent candidate. Congress is likely to field its sitting MLA Francis P. Sangma from this constituency.
