Islamabad: A sick 10-year-old Pakistani boy, who became a `pilot’ for a day through the Make A Wish Foundation Pakistan, has died.
Muhammad Usama died Thursday morning in Karachi. He was suffering from a chronic kidney disease, Daily Times reported.
Usama earned the title of the youngest pilot of the country after his desire to become a pilot for a day was fulfilled by the foundation in collaboration with Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
He was given practical pilot’s training in a flight simulator and joined a PIA crew on a flight to Islamabad. (IANS)
Russian tourists injured in China road mishap
Beijing: least 17 Russian tourists were injured when an excursion bus overturned on a highway in China’s Heilongjiang Province on Friday. The bus carrying 28 tourists from Russia’s Amur Region were en route to the Chinese border city of Heihe when it met with an accident in the resort town of Wudalianchi, injuring 17 passengers, police said.
