Donations pour in for Khrang siblings

NONGSTOIN: After a YouTube video of a 16-year-old boy, Kuparroi Khongsit who had to look after his two sisters after their father left them went viral on social media, many well wishers started to visit and offered donation to the family.
The story about the 16-year-old boy and his sisters from Khrang village, in East Khasi Hills has reached to every corners of the state.
Manchester United Supporters Club Shillong led by its president P Nongkynrih on Sunday visited the family and donated Rs 46,000 along with clothing and other essential commodities.
During the visit the club interacted with the three siblings, Kuparroi Khongsit, Lamjingshai Khongsit (11) and Rijingshai Khongsit (5).
It was learned that after their mother passed away, their father had left them and Kuparroi had to drop out of school to take care of his sisters.
As head of the family, Kuparroi thanked all the well wishers for their support. He also thanked the Manchester United Supporters Club Shillong for their generosity to him and his sisters.
