SHILLONG: The Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) P Naik has convened a meeting of all the Deputy Commissioners and Sub Divisional Officers here on September 22 to discuss the matters related to the Assembly elections due in 2013.
Naik said on Wednesday that the meeting would discuss election preparedness on the part of the respective deputy commissioners.
Though there was speculation that the Assembly elections will be held sometime in December, the polls are likely to be scheduled as usual sometime in February.
The summary revision of electoral rolls will start from October 1 and the deputy commissioners will be asked to ensure the enrollment of voters during the meeting.
