Condolence
Members of Talent’s Club Shillong have condoled the demise of its executive member Deepali Barua. She was an active member of the Club, who always took keen interest in activities of the organisation, specifically those related to the underprivileged. Her excellence in cooking and flowers was apparent in club fellowships. Barua, who passed away on November 21, was the comptroller of Raj Bhavan for many years.
The Meghalaya Hindu Mission fraternity held a condolence-cum-prayer meeting on November 22 at the Mission premises in memory of Swami Satyavat Ashram who passed away on November 14 at Rajasthan after a brief illness. During the meeting, a two-minute silence was also observed in memory of the departed soul.

Curfew extended
West Khasi Hills District Magistrate has extended night curfew in the district till November 30 for timings falling between 10 pm and 5 am daily.

Office-bearers
The All Garo Hills Trained Electricians Association (AGHTEA) recently constituted its new unit at Gambegre and elected new office-bearers. The new leaders of the new unit are Monseng Marak (president), Binjamin Rema (vice president) , Kenen Marak (general secretary), Greding D Sangma (joint secretary), Pormith Sangma (treasurer) and Kingstone Sangma (accountant) besides nine other executive members.

Meeting
Triennial General Body Meeting of Matri Mandir, Polo Ground, Shillong, will be held at the Mandir premises at 11 am on November 29, a statement issued here said. All members are requested to attend the meeting.
