NONGPOH: In another hurdle for the State Government regarding the installation of Broad Gauge (BG) Railway alignment from Tetelia to Byrnihat, the Joint Action Committee comprising the representatives of the Lum Nongrim village, Ranghona and Byrnihat Sport Association on Friday said that they would stick to their demand of changing the alignment of the railway line.

“The JAC has declined the offer of the State Government to construct the model village for those displaced families from Ranghona and Lum Nongrim village who will be affected due to the alignment of the BG Railway and the JAC will hold on to its demand for changing the alignment as per the 2008 survey”, JAC Chairman Medhi Syiem said.
