SHILLONG: The national executive meeting of the BJP scheduled to be held on September 26 at Faridabad, Haryana will discuss the issue of the coming elections in the State.
The State president of BJP, HS Syiemlieh, who will be attending the meeting, will discuss different aspects of the coming election with the party high command.
Meanwhile, the State BJP unit has said that the party will fight the coming election in Meghalaya to defeat the Congress but has no plan to bail out candidates of any other political parties.
BJP State general secretary Dipayan Chakraborty on Monday said that the common people in the State are fed up with the Congress misrule in the State.
“The party did not even spare the coalition partners of the MUA government in the State. Parties supporting the Congress are equally responsible for the non-development scenario,” he said.
While declaring that the BJP is already preparing its strategies to contest the coming election, he said, “We are confident of sending our MLAs to the Assembly to make a difference in State politics.”
Meanwhile, Ranadhir Ch. Deb has been appointed chairman of the party’s State disciplinary committee.
