SHILLONG, Dec 21: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Monday condoled the death of veteran Congress leader Motilal Vora, who passed away following post-COVID-19 complications.
The 92-year-old Congress stalwart is the former chief minister of undivided Madhya Pradesh and former Governor of Uttar Pradesh in the post-Babri Masjid demolition era, and was considered as a people’s man who was accessible to all.
“Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee recalls his long association with the party in Meghalaya and observed that he had profound love and respect for the party and the people of the state. He was always helpful to Meghalaya PCC, and always stood by its side in need,” the MPCC said in a statement on Monday.
