India Tourism, MeSCMA organise trekking programme

SHILLONG, Jan 10: A one day trekking programme to David Scott Trail was organized by the office of the India Tourism, Shillong in collaboration with Meghalaya Sport Climbing Association (MeSCMA) on January 9.
D Rapsang, District Youth Coordinator, East Khasi Hills District, Shillong flagged off the programme as chief guest, in the presence of R S Paswan, Assistant Director, India Tourism, Shillong.
Rapsang greatly appreciated all participants for taking keen interest in adventure activities that are beneficial for their health, both physically and mentally.
The objectives of this programme for the youth were to promote trekking and instil a spirit of adventure and discipline, to promote cleanliness, and finally to promote the conservation of natural resources.
A total of 32 participants from all over the city participated, the youngest participant being a 13- year old boy.
