SHILLONG, Jan 14: In a bid to cater to larger number of people, the Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) will soon introduce a telemedicine centre which will function in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS.
The BSS, in a statement on Thursday, said its medical unit, Pranavananda Seva Niketan, will be upgraded with the installation of an ultrasonography unit and a full-room digital X-Ray unit along with a telemedicine centre. “The telemedicine centre will function in collaboration with NEIGRIHMS and will benefit patients to seek quality medical assistance without physically visiting NEIGRIHMS,” the statement said.
Informing that around Rs 53 lakh will be coughed up for the upgrade, the BSS said that many devotees and stakeholders have started making donations. The BSS has also appealed one and all to generously donate towards the cause.
Blood donation camp
Meanwhile, to commemorate the 125th birth anniversary of its founder, Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, the BSS will organise a blood donation camp at the medical unit of BSS at its ashram premises in Jail Road on January 26.
This is the third blood donation camp organised by the BSS to commemorate the birth anniversary. The first two blood donation camps were held on May and October last year where 74 people came forward to donate blood.
