Philatelic exhibition gets under way

SHILLONG, Jan 28: The First Circle Level Online Philatelic Exhibition, North East Philatelic Exhibition (NEPEX), 2021, on Thursday kick-started where 48 philatelists from Meghalaya among other Northeastern states have participated.
According to a statement, the exhibition, which has been organised by the Chief Postmaster General, North East Postal Circle, in association with the North East Philatelic Society, will conclude on Sunday.
“48 philatelists from six North East states, viz., Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura have participated in this exhibition and have displayed varieties of postage stamps and stationeries on different themes,” the statement said, adding, “one special cover on NEPEX2021 was also released today in the inaugural function”.
During the four-day event, postcard miniature art competition, speech writing competition, collage art competition using postage stamps and an online quiz competition on philately will be organised. The event can also be live-streamed on YouTube.
