Agartala: Setting aside all speculation, CPI general secretary Sudhakar Rao Reddy on Tuesday said that the Left Front would form the next government in Tripura with a massive mandate.

The people of Tripura will give a massive mandate in favour of Left Front in the 2013 Assembly elections, he said while addressing a press meet here. Reddy said, the party will field two candidates in the next Assembly election though it has a plan of gaining one more seats.

Reddy further said, “We are of the view of strengthening leftist movement in Tripura in stead of bargaining over seats”.

He said that bringing the all left political parties under one platform would help formation of third alternative against UPA and NDA.

“We want to form an alternative to the UPA and NDA which would be easier if we could unite all left forces first and bring them under one platform”, Reddy told.

He said the UPA government was serving the interest of the corporate and foreign capitalists at the cost of common peoples interest otherwise it would not allow FDI.

He said, his party still appealed to the Prime Minister manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P Chidambaram to reconsider the opinion of the political parties and revoke it.

Reddy also sought probe into the property of Robert Bhadra which was allegedly disproportionate to his income.
