Sanbor lays base for devp project at Upper Lumparing

SHILLONG, Jan 31: In keeping with his service to the public, South Shillong MLA Sanbor Shullai laid the foundation stone for construction of the feeder road which connects with Mynsain Forest Road, adjacent to the Buddhist temple at Upper Lumparing.
The MLA has assured the public that the implementation of the project will be taken up immediately, the Monitoring-Cum-Implementation Committee of 19th South Shillong Constituency said in a statement issued here.
Sanctioned under the PWD general state scheme, and initiated and by MLA Sanbor Shullai, at a cost of over Rs 1.34 crore, this developmental scheme was the 25-year-old aspiration of the public from Upper Lumparing area, the statement said.
In his address, Shullai, while expressing the desire for the project to be completed at the earliest, lauded the efforts of the PWD officials and the active participation of Dorbar Shnong Upper Lumparing as well as residents, especially the land owners who have parted-off their land free of cost.
Speakers also praised the sustained efforts of the local MLA, Sanbor Shullai.
