Super Division Shillong Cricket League: Young Guns register win

SHILLONG, Feb 28: Young Guns defeated Khalsa Warriors by 86 runs in a Super Division Shillong Cricket League match here at the NEPA grounds on Sunday. Khalsa won the toss and elected to field first. Young Guns scored 220 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 35 overs. Kasim (61 runs off 42 balls) and Arush (25 runs off 50 balls) were the top scorers for Young Guns. Akash and Amit claimed 2 wickets each while while giving away 33 and 36 runs respectively. In reply, Khalsa could only manage 134 for the loss of 10 wickets in 24.4 overs. Karan top scored for Khalsa scoring 42 runs in 38 balls. Inderpal (22 runs off 22 balls) was the next hightest scorer for Khalsa. For Young Guns, Abhisek scalped 6 wickets giving away 39 runs in 7 overs, while Neeraj took 2 wickets giving away 41 runs in his 7 overs. Abhisek of Young Guns was adjudged the Man of the Match for his wonderful bowling performance.
