SHILLONG, March 8: TNT Sputnik CC defeated United XI by 69 runs in a Super Division Shillong Cricket League match here at the NEPA grounds on Monday. TNT Sputnik CC won the toss and elected to field first. Batting first, United XI amassed a total of 231 runs losing all wickets. Man of the Match Kishan Lyngdoh was United’s top-scorer with 67 runs off 54 balls while Yogesh Tiwari contributed 36 runs off 29 balls. For TNT Sputnik, Abhay Negi returned with impressive figures of 5/41 while Amarnath Sharma picked up three wickets for 34 runs. In reply, TNT Sputnik CC could only manage 163 runs before being bowled out. Mark Ingty top scored with a quickfire 70 that came off only 45 deliveries while teammate Nafees Siddique added 21 runs off 16 balls. However, none of the other batsmen were able to put up any resilience as United XI managed a 69 run victory. For United XI, Kishan Lyngdoh took 3/15 while Sudhi Sahani also scalped three wickets, conceding only 16 runs.
