SHILLONG/ TURA, March 9: The state government has announced the revised dates and timings for the deadline for nominations, scrutiny, conduct of GHADC elections as well as the counting of results.
In a statement, the government said that the last date for filing of nominations is March 15 before 3 pm, date of scrutiny of nomination papers is March 15 after 3 pm, last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is on March 19, and date of finalisation and publication of valid nominations and allocation of symbols is on March 22.
“Poll shall take place on 12th April, 2021, from 7 am to 4 pm and counting of votes will be held on 15th April, 2021,” the statement added.
Appeal to voters of NGH
The North Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer have, meanwhile, appealed to the voters to come forward and cast their vote on April 12.
According to a statement, the postal ballot facility has been extended to voters falling under persons with disabilities (PwDs) and people above 80 years.
