TURA, March 13: “Even though it took me some years to crack the civil services examination, I never gave up” is the message from 2018-batch IPS officer’s to the student fraternity.
IPS Dr Dara Aswaghosh was speaking during a session organised jointly by West Garo Hills District Administration and Don Bosco College, Tura, on Saturday.
The session on ‘Strategy to prepare for UPSC CSE 2021 Examination’ was attended by aspirants as well as civil servants.
The idea behind the educational session was to make the students au courant with the civil services examination.
During the session, Dr Aswaghosh and 2018-batch IAS officer Jagdish Chelani shared their success stories among the aspirants.
Dr Aswaghosh, during the session, informed the students about his endeavour towards becoming an IPS officer.
“I was consistently preparing for the service and even though it took me some years to crack the civil services examination, I never gave up,” Dr Dara said.
Echoing the IPS officer, IAS Chelani said, “There is nothing that we cannot do; we need the willpower and the dedication to fulfil our dreams”.
He rhetorically questioned that if achieving the feat is possible for them, then why not for other aspirants?
Meanwhile, Dr Arindam Ghosh, IQAC Coordinator Don Bosco College, Tura, also addressed the gathering of aspirants during the session.
