SCL: Jersey Kings, Rajbhavan adjudged joint C Div winners

SHILLONG, March 30: Jersey Kings and Rajbhavan CC shared honours after being declared joint winners of the Shillong Cricket League C Division owing to bad weather here on Tuesday. The match did kick off before rain interrupted play midway. Rajbhavan won the toss and chose to field first, restricting Jersey Kings to 122/9 in 20 overs. Vishal Sunar missed out on a fifty, top scoring with 49 while Vickey Das made 22. Tarak Sinha took 3/14 while Sunil Yadav (3/21) also picked up three wickets. Chasing an achievable target of 123, Raj Bhavan suffered a mild top-order collapse before rain interrupted play to leave them at 16/3 in 3 overs. Thereafter, officials decided that the match could not be continued and both teams were declared joint winners.
Super Division at NEPA
The Shillong Cricket League Super Division match Between Sputnik Spartan and Langsning was called off due to heavy rainfall here on Tuesday. At 12:30 pm, heavy rain continued and both umpires found that the condition of the ground was dangerous and unreasonable to start play. Therefore, the match was called off. Both teams shared 2 points each.
