Meet, workshop
A two-day-long state-level consultation-cum-review meeting on ‘Available Facilities and Status of Newborn and Pediatric Care in Shillong – analyzing the gaps and steps to improve quality of care’, besides a state-level workshop on ‘Issue of Heavy Weight of School Bags’, were organised by the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights in collaboration with Meghalaya State Commission for Protection of Child Rights and facilitated by Seva Bharti Purbanchal.

Fares revision
The Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Amlarem Sub-Division, has directed Sumo drivers to charge only Rs. 2.05 per head per kilometre, as notified by the Transport department. In case of non-compliance of the order, passengers can write to the office of the SDO (Civil) for action.
