Police unearth anti-aircraft ammo in EGH

TURA, April 8: Police on Thursday recovered a huge amount of anti-aircraft ammunitions, suspected to have been left behind by GNLA chief, Sohan D Shira.
The anti-aircraft rounds were recovered from one Crimson M Sangma (33) at Dobetkol, East Garo Hills, near the district jail during a naka check. According to police, a hunt was on for Sangma since several months, and he was finally nabbed during an operation by a team from Williamnagar police station.
It was after this a total of 239 rounds of high-calibre ammunition were recovered from his possession.
