TURA, April 8: The Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) teachers, under the banner of the All Garo Hills SSA School Teachers’ Association, will hold a stir in Shillong and Tura on Friday, demanding the release of three months’ salaries.
Earlier, the teachers had served an ultimatum to the government to clear their salaries before the GHADC polls. With the polls few days away and the government still failing to give ear to their demands, the teachers have decided to go ahead with the proposed agitation.
