TURA, April 22: The Inter School Basketball Tournament, 2021 organized by the District Basketball Association in collaboration with the District Administration and the District Sports Office, Tura for both Boys and Girls concluded recently at the Matchakolgre Basketball Court in Tura.
The final match of the tournament was attended by West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner, Ram Singh as the Chief Guest and District Sports Officer, Saljagring R Marak as the Guest of Honour.
The final match of the Boys category was played between Government Boys’ Higher Secondary School and Montfort Centre for Education in which the former defeated the latter by a score of 26-13. In the Girls’ category, the final match was played between St Xavier’s Secondary School-A and St Xavier’s Secondary School-B where the former emerged victorious with a score of 29-04.
The Best Player title was awarded to Dimsrang Ch Sangma of Montfort Centre for Education in the Boys Category while Adora Aisha A Sangma of St Xavier’s Secondary School-A bagged the title in the Girls’ category.
