The State Water and Sanitation Mission in association with Public Health Engineering department and the District Water and Sanitation Mission will organise the Nirmal Gram Puraskar 2011 Award ceremony on November 16 at Don Bosco Hall at 10.30 am in which PHE Minister Shitlang Pale will be the chief guest.

Water reservoir inaugurated

Laban MLA Sanbor Shullai recently inaugurated a water reservoir for public distribution cum public washing shed at Mawnei in the presence of local residents. The inauguration was followed by distribution of blankets, mosquito nets and bed cover to five hundred BPL families of the area.

Classical evening

The Aroha music and cultural society in collaboration with the Austrian Cultural Embassy from Delhi, the ICCR Shillong and the Directorate of Arts and culture is organising a classical evening of music and workshop for an Austrian duo – Hema Tuppy (Piano) and Freda Tuppy (Violin). The concert will be held at the Aurobindo Ashram on November 20 and the workshop for pianist and violinists will be held on November 21 at Don Bosco Youth Centre at 11am.

Skills expo

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) with the support of the State Government and Ramesh Bawri Group will hold the second career and skills expo from November 21-23 at All Saint’s Cathedral Hall from 10am to 5pm.
