Portal to monitor health of cops

SHILLONG/ NONGSTOIN/TURA, May 21: Meghalaya Police, on Friday, launched the COVID-19 management portal to monitor police officials that have tested positive for COVID-19 besides high-risk contact officials.
In a statement, the DGP informed that the portal will enable senior police officials of every district/organisation to monitor the health status of police officials and also avail real-time information of cops who are currently undergoing institutional quarantine/home isolation or have recovered/been discharged from hospitals.

Ambulance donated
Nongstoin MLA, Macmillan Byrsat, on Friday handed over an ambulance to the Nongstoin Regional Local Taxi Owners & Driver Association (NRLTODA), Nongstoin. The donated ambulance will cater to COVID-19 patients in the area.
The MLA, during the programme, also acknowledged the Association for their service to the locals in Nongstoin.

Wash basin installed
Sordar of Raid Kongthong, the Community COVID-19 Management Committee of Kongthong, has installed a public wash basin at the entrance of the village.
The decision to install the public wash basin was taken during an emergency meeting of the CCMC last week.

COVID war room
East Garo Hills district administration has set up COVID-19 Helpline/War Room No, which will function 24×7 and will be headed by Block Incident Commander/ Zonal Magistrate/ Medical Officers etc.
