SHILLONG: The Breakaway faction Of Achik National Volunteer Council (ANVC-B) has issued a final warning to all Nokma, who had given their land to outsiders, to take back the land or face the wrath of the outfit.

“Irresponsible people have destroyed Garo Hills; it is time to take extreme measures to clear the mess,” the outfit’s publicity secretary, Doang Sangma, said in a statement.

“Garo Hills people have suffered enough, now the time has come to take on the irresponsible elected leaders because of whom Garo Hills has turned into a disturbed area,” he said.

The outfit has also asked Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma and all elected representatives of the State Assembly and the District Council to unite for the peace, development and solution to the long-pending issues of the Garo people.

The outfit stated that this was the final appeal to the leaders to work for Garo Hills, adding that things will not remain same anymore.
