NONGSTOIN: After being denied permission by the district administration to hold fast-unto-death at Shillong, Pynskhemlang Nongshlong, the lad from Rambrai in West Khasi Hills, is now planning to move the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in New Delhi. Nongshlong, who is planning to visit the national capital shortly, will lodge a complaint with the rights body.
In the complaint letter, he would mention atrocities faced by the people of Langpih and other villages situated in the border of Assam in West Khasi Hills, sources said on Thursday.
The letter will also mention the high handedness of the Assam Police towards the people of Langpih.
Seeking an early solution to the Meghalaya-Assam border row, Nongshlong in the letter will also through light on the darkest day in Langpih in which four innocent people of Langpih were shot dead by the Assam Police personnel.
