TURA, July 4: The Rongmuthu/Rongrokgre Mahari Association of Tura on Sunday expressed deep anguish over the tragic and mysterious deaths of two members of their clan — Rose Sangma and Samuel Sangma — at Gurugram in Haryana, even as it demanded a speedy and impartial investigation into the incident.
“The circumstances in which the deaths occurred are highly suspicious and condemnable and we extend full support to the family members of the victims. We also demand an investigation into the gruesome incident so that the truth comes out,” it said in a statement.
The association said that the manner in which a particular doctor and staff treated Rose Sangma leading to her death and the ‘brutal physical assault’ meted out by the same doctor to her nephew, Samuel, is nothing short of a shock and deserves condemnation in the strongest terms.
It also expressed appreciation to all organizations and individuals who stood by the family of the two victims in their cry for justice and a fair probe so that the culprits are booked and exemplary punishment is given to the guilty.
