SHILLONG, July 6: A person circulating a video on YouTube reportedly spreading misinformation on the efficacy of COVID-19 vaccine in violation of the High Court order has come under the scanner of the police.
In a statement issued here, the Superintendent of Police of East Khasi Hills, Sylvester Nongtnger, said that an FIR was received by the East Khasi Hills Police mentioning the accused. He said that a case has been registered with Sadar Police Station and legal action is being undertaken against the accused. He advised that public to refrain from putting up such videos spreading misinformation.
