Banking with SBI

SHILLONG: The State Government has notified the implementation of the State Government Salary Package (SGSP) scheme for its employees banking with the State Bank of India (SBI). An MoU has been executed with the SBI for providing value additions to salaried employees in addition to facilities available to general SBI account holders. The value additions to be made available includes personal accidental insurance (death) cover at bank’s cost easy over-draft up to two month’s net salary, loans at concessional rate upto 50 bps on Xpress credit, home loans and car loans, ATM cash drawal limit upto Rs 1 lakh per day among others.

Personal accidental insurance cover shall be available only to employees who enroll with the scheme within December 31. Employees having salary account with SBI and non-SBI banks are asked to contact the respective SBI bank to avail the benefits of the SGSP scheme.
