Germany for better relations with Meghalaya

SHILLONG: Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany, Rainer Schmiedchen, arrived here on Thursday on a two-day visit. While in the city, Schmiedchen paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Dr Mukul Sangma.

Schmiedchen also met Governor RS Mooshahary, Chief Secretary WMS Pariat and the Archbishop of Shillong Arch Diocese Rev. Dominic Jala.

Later, commenting on his visit, the Consul General said, “I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere desire to establish excellent relations between this Mission and the Government of Meghalaya and all relevant administrative bodies.”
