SHILLONG, July 30: A circle-level Dak Adalat will be organised at the Office of the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong, on August 6 at 11 am.
A statement in this regard informed that the Dak Adalat will entertain grievances pertaining to postal services for its redressal.
Meanwhile, it was informed that the written complaints have to be sent through ordinary post or speed post with the subject ‘Dak Adalat’ superscribed on the cover and addressed to the Chief Postmaster General, North East Circle, Shillong-793001.
“The complaints should contain full details like complete address and registration receipt number, etc. For Complaints about Savings Schemes and Postal Life insurances, the account number, policy number and full address of the depositor or insurer should be given,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, a deadline of August 4 has been fixed for the receipt of written complaints. “Complaints, if any, received after this period will be redressed through the usual channel. Complaints can also be sent in the email address [email protected],” the statement said.
