Hunt on for cyber crime accused

 SHILLONG: A woman lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that her ex-boyfriend, Spanbor Cephas Dkhar threatened to upload her nude photographs on the Internet and demanded money from her.

On November 28, he uploaded three of her nude photographs on Facebook with her face concealed in the name of one Nien Sdu.

When contacted, the police said that they are verifying the facts while adding that the accused is currently out of station. Stringent actions will be taken against the culprit and he will be booked accordingly as per the Cyber Cafe Rules 2012 under the Meghalaya Information Technology Act, police added.
