Moderate quake jolts NE

 SHILLONG: An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked parts of North East including parts of Shillong at 10.12 pm on Saturday. According to sources the intensity of the earthquake has been measured at 5. 7 on the Richter scale. An official with the Upper Shillong Seismological Observatory said the epicenter of the tremor lies near Monoya in Myanmar border.
