SPARK celebrates Teachers’ Day with underprivileged children

SHILLONG, Sep 5: In a bid to provide joy and enjoyment to kids in rural areas, SPARK, a social organisation, on Sunday, organised a special Teacher’ Day programme for more than 400 underprivileged children.
The programme was organized at Mawlong, Mawlynrei Triashnong, Pongkung Mawphor, Rangmen Nongsder villages and Bara Bazaar slum, to “break all the burdens of stress, worries and anxiety and fill their day with joy, fun and excitement”.
The programme started with prayer service by children followed by cake cutting and cultural activities involving children and their teachers.
