JOWAI: A three-year-old boy died and his father was critically injured when a blaze tore through the family house at Thadmuthong Dong Pyrdi, in West Jaintia Hills district on Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as Marless Suchiang. His father, Ioh-ei Papiah received severe injuries while trying to save his son and was later taken to a hospital in Jowai. Sources informed that both father-son duo were sleeping when the fire broke out in their Assam type house.
