The Church of Jesus Christ will launch its golden jubilee celebration with the inaugural service that to be held at Students Field on January 6.

The Department of Tourism will organize Lasubon Kite Flying Festival on January 5 at Shillong Golf Course from 11 am. Reputed professional kite flyers from Mumbai, Gujarat, Jaipur and West Bengal will participate in the event.

President of Nongmensong-Umkdiat Youth Congress AS Iawphniaw has resigned as the president and membership of the congress party stating the inefficiency of the local MLA AL Hek in better deliverance to the constituency as the reason.
