Road inaugurated in Nongkrem

SHILLONG, Sep 25: The 4-km Shillong-Jowai Road to Nongkrem Road and 3.30-km Smit-Nongkrem Road was on Saturday inaugurated by Nongkrem MLA Lambor Malngiang during a function at Iewpyrsing Nongkrem, East Khasi Hills.
It may be mentioned that work on the road, which was funded under the Central Road Fund (CRF) for the year 2018-19, was delayed due to the COVID-19 situation.
Meanwhile, Malngiang, during the programme, expressed content on how, despite the COVID-19 situation, the project was fast-tracked and completed.
The MLA also expressed his gratitude to the Nongkrem Dorbar Pyllun and the locals for their support to the developmental activities taken by the PWD (Roads).
