UDP Youth Wing raises voice over frequent power cuts

SHILLONG: The United Democratic Party (UDP), Youth Wing, Shillong city district on Saturday resolved upon the MeECL authorities seeking actions on the part of the authority to take note of the frequent power cuts which has adversely affected the Examination preparations of many students.

In a general meeting held in the city on Saturday, they also resolved to impress upon the party leadership to bring in Educational Reforms as an agenda in the party’s Manifesto besides questioning the delay in taking action against those named in the C.B.I report for tampering with the appointment list of Teachers in the Education Department.

The general meeting also appeals to the youth in particular and the Electorates in General to replace the Congress by voting the UDP to power in the coming elections as evident in the other states in the country.

The UDP Youth wing has reconstituted its District Executive committee with new office bearers. The new office bearers included Aibor Roy Thangkhiew as president, vice president – Andreas Nongrum, Clement Rajee, Ebenezer Kharkongor and Pherbian Chyne besides others.
