One Edmund D Kharnaior lodged a complaint at Mawlai PS that on January 14 at around 6 pm, three unknown miscreants stole goods from his godown at Mawlai Mawroh. In this connection, police have arrested a minor boy aged 15 years.
One Sujit Kumar Chanda lodged a complaint at Shillong Sadar PS that on January 13 unknown miscreants stole Rs 45,000, silver ornaments and three cheque books from his residence at Keating Road, Shillong.
On January 7 night, unknown miscreants stole one welding machine belonging to M/s BSC C&C JV Company from Mawbroi, West Khasi Hills.
Demand call
One Kiran Nath lodged a complaint at Jowai PS that on January 14, he received an anonymous call demanding Rs 2 lakh from him. The caller instructed him to pay the same on January 15 at 7th Mile, Pasyih village, West Jaintia Hills.
One Him Dkhar lodged a complaint at Mairang PS that on January 11, one Shamsing Mawblei demanded Rs 2 lakh from him and also threatened him with dire consequences. Police have arrested the accused.
