BAGHMARA: Dalu sitting MLA Samuel M Sangma (Congress) accompanied by the Block Congress Committee president, secretary, executive members, ward commissioner and a number of senior party workers on Monday resigned enmasse from the primary membership of the Congress.

Sangma cited negligence by senior party members as the reason behind his resignation which he submitted to the president of Baghmara District Congress Committee.

It may be mentioned that Sangma was a Congress ticket hopeful for the Baghmara seat which was awarded to Lazarus M Sangma.
