New Delhi, Oct 9: The Central government on Saturday appointed M. Ravichandran, Director of National Centre of Polar and Ocean Research, Ministry of Earth Science as the new Secretary of the Earth Science Ministry. “The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Dr. M. Ravichandran, Director, National Centre of Polar and Ocean Research, Ministry of earth Science, Goa to the post of Secretary, Ministry of Earth Science,” the Centre said.
Ravichandran was also the Director for National Centre for Antarctic and Ocean Research, a nodal agency for planning, coordination and implementation of India’s Antarctic Programme. (PTI)
