SHILLONG: The BJP is likely to announce the name of its candidates for the upcoming elections in Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura on Saturday.
Sources informed that the Central Election Committee (CEC) of the party would meet in New Delhi to discuss the names of the candidates for the three states scheduled to go to polls in February.
“The State unit of the BJP has received 29 applications for tickets which are being scrutinized by the CEC,” sources said.
BJP leader in-charge Meghalaya Kiren Rijiju is in New Delhi with the list of the candidates who have applied for party ticket , sources said.
