SHILLONG: With election fever running high, hoax calls have started pouring in from several parts of the city on occurrence of clashes between supporters of various parties making the district magistrates, police and sector officers to rush from one place to another. During a similar incident on Thursday, the authorities rushed to Mawprem after receiving a call about clash between Congress and UDP supporters there.

However, on reaching the spot, the officials realized that it was a hoax call and no such incident had taken place in Mawprem or the nearby areas.
