SHILLONG, Nov 21: In yet another fiasco, there will be no water supply to select areas of the city till the evening of Tuesday, according to a statement of the PHE department.
“…due to the breakdown of the 750 mm diameter C.I. Gravity Main of Greater Shillong Water Supply Scheme at Pomlum Village at 10.30 AM on November 20, there will be no water supply till the evening of 23th November (Tuesday),” the statement said. “Inconvenience caused is regretted,” it added.
Areas which will be affected are Shillong Municipal Board areas, Shillong Cantonment Board areas, Nongthymmai and Mawlai.
